Last week I finally pulled the plug on the home delivery of the print edition of The Plain Dealer. After a half-century of having print editions of the Cleveland daily at the breakfast table – either as a kid across the table from my father or at my own table across from my granddaughter – circumstances have forced us at Casa Hill to allocate expenses differently. The online edition is the same as the print, and is a little more accessible (on my mobile phone and tablet) but it just doesn’t feel the same. I fear the Sunday New York Times will be next, but I already work (or try to work) the daily crosswords on my phone. Just changing times, I guess.
